Forgiveness is something I do for others, but I also do it for myself. By forgiving others, I am freeing myself so I can move on and enjoy my life.
It is important to forgive quickly. If I am going to forgive eventually, it only makes sense to do it now. The sooner I forgive, the sooner I can free myself from the negative thoughts. Dragging out the process accomplishes nothing.
I find it easy to forgive. There are many reasons why someone may bring pain into my life. I choose to believe that everyone is doing the best they can. Each person has a unique set of circumstances and challenges. With this belief, I am unable to hold a grudge or to take slights personally.
At times, I may find it challenging to forgive quickly and easily, but I persevere.
