My sense of individualism is strong.

I stay securely connected to many groups in my life. I am actively involved with my immediate family, extended family, neighbors, friends, and co-workers. I spend plenty of time in the company of others each day.

However, I also strive to remain independent and stay close to my own sense of self. Being aware of my personal independence is important so I can live an incredible life.

The more independent I am, the more choices I have. I am proud to be unique.

Being self-reliant means I am smart, dependable, and strong. I am happy taking part in activities on my own.

Having a sense of my own individualism ensures I can make choices that best fit me. I love being independent.

I find it unnecessary to compete with anyone but myself. If I want to run faster, I compare my time today with how fast I ran last week. If I want to know how to do something, I seek the information on the internet or call someone else to ask questions.

I comfortably handle my own life.

Today, I know I can live a great life because I am a strong individual. My sense of independence ensures I do what I want or feel is necessary. I see the value of being self-reliant and stepping up to take responsibility for my actions. My sense of individualism propels me forward.

Self-Reflection Questions:

1. How can I embrace my individualism?
2. What are some things I do completely on my own that I feel positive about?
3. If I become more self-reliant, how will my life change?
